Celtic fans are loving Moritz Bauer’s unusual role as language interpreter after helping striker Odsonne Edouard conduct a post-match interview on Sunday.

Edouard scored a double for the Hoops in a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock. Bauer provided an assist for his second of the afternoon with a classy through ball.

He was just as helpful on Celtic TV after the match though, allowing the Frenchman to communicate with supporters upon receiving the man-of-the-match award.

Clearly Bauer is a man of many talents and after showing off this latest skill, it likely won’t be the last time he accompanies the French U21 star after matches.

Bauer is looking like an exciting signing all-round after his first full start for the club against Killie. Defensively robust and dangerous going forward, he looks like the kind of full-back that will excel in Scottish football.

Signed on loan from Stoke City, it’s important to remember that the club also have the option to buy him at the end of the season.

If he can produce consistently over the coming months then there’s every chance we commit to that option.

For now, Celtic supporters are enjoying his initial contributions, including this interview.
