Odsonne Edouard’s performance against Aberdeen yesterday was spine-tingling.
The Frenchman came on mid-way through the second-half and totally bullied the Dons around. Nabbing a sensational goal himself combined with an assist for hat-trick hero Scott Sinclair, he was the MVP last night.
It’s difficult to say nobody other than Sinclair was man-of-the-match at Pittodrie. Certainly, the Englishman was the main man with his trio of important strikes in the Granite City.

But whilst he’s been getting plenty of praise in his own right, special recognition has been going to Edouard from the Hoops support on Twitter.

Coming up big when it matters
The one thing Edouard can’t be labelled as doing is failing to perform in the big games. He’s now scored huge goals this season against the likes of Rosenborg, RB Leipzig, and RB Salzburg. As well as that, he played a key part in the winner against Rangers back in September.
It’s now 14 goals in total for the season for the big Frenchman. Many have questioned in recent times as to why Celtic splashed out £9miilion on him in the summer. Performances like yesterday, however, are exactly why.

Despite that, far too many supporters get on his back wrongly. The big forward is still only a boy at 20-years of age, and is still managing to score wonder-goals and turn up in big games for one of football’s biggest clubs.
Supporters, however, are easily won over. His cameo against Aberdeen was sublime, and will have done him the world of good ahead of a must-win Glasgow derby with Rangers on Saturday.
Edouard has a huge role to play at the weekend, and will be tasked with firing Celtic to victory once more. After yesterday, his confidence is sure to be soaring.
