The Celtic supporters have lauded the decision to throw Tom Rogic into the mix from the bench this afternoon in what proved to be a game-changing decision.

Rogic was given the final 15 minutes after being left on the bench at Pittodrie this afternoon. Celtic were left desperate for a goal after a troubling day in the Granite City.

Many Celtic fans had wanted to see the break-up of the Rogic/David Turnbull partnership. And in fairness to the manager, he broke it up pre-match by naming Tom on the bench.

Instead, Turnbull looked like the player who should’ve been saying hello to the sidelines with Rogic keeping his spot given the late piece of quality produced by the Aussie.

After finding a bit of space just outside the penalty area with minutes remaining, Tom played a delightful through ball for Adam Montgomery. He would cross for Jota to stab home and nab a vital three points for the Hoops.

Some will perhaps say that this proves Rogic is at his best as an impact player. That he’s been starting regularly and not making the kind of impact Celtic fans saw today.

But the truth is he deserves a shot to operate as our number 10 on his own. Not alongside Turnbull, who was poor again this afternoon.

And in terms of today, the Celtic fans lauded the decision to give Rogic his late runout as he set up the match-winning opportunity:
