Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer produced another masterclass of a performance on Sunday against Hearts.

With the Hoops running out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Callum McGregor and, well potentially, Vakoun Bayo, it was another great Scottish Premiership display from the team.

We may have faltered in Europe and scraped over the line in the League Cup, but our bread and butter action this season has been superb so far.

Ajer, again deployed on the right flank as a marauding full-back, gave the Jam Tarts all sorts of problems throughout the 90 minutes.

He consistently found himself in acres of space, willing to receive raking cross-field balls and expose the Hearts defence.

With pace, power, commitment and a shockingly capable cross, the Norwegian international is looking outstanding away from his natural centre-back position.

Celtic supporters on social media were similarly enthused by his performance, with this lot taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
