There is no doubt that in two of Celtic’s most recent games, the Hoops have missed mercurial midfielder Tom Rogic.

The player has not featured this season due to injury, and Neil Lennon’s side are missing his influence. His calm demeanour would have been key for the recent match against Cluj.

He would have been able to keep the ball and make sure that Celtic did not give away possession which led to the opposition team scoring.

He also would have been more than useful against Dunfermline. Would Celtic have been forced into extra-time if Rogic had been available? Perhaps not.

There is no indication when Rogic will make his return to the Hoops side from knee and ankle injuries. However, Neil Lennon will hope that it is sooner rather than later.

Influence on side cannot be underestimated

Rogic’s influence on the Hoops side cannot be underestimated. His range of passing and goalscoring ability has been sorely missed by the club.

The prospect of Rogic teaming up with the likes of Ryan Christie and Callum McGregor in the middle of the park for Celtic is one that fans will be looking forward to.

The trio did excellently for a spell last season. However, that might still be a while from happening this season, as Rogic recovers from his injury.

He can’t come back soon enough. It would give the Hoops a boost in the battle for nine in a row.
