Celtic captain Scott Brown deserves plenty of credit for his recent admission that he had a poor game in the 1-0 loss to Rangers in December.
The Hoops skipper has dominated against the Ibrox side in the past. He ran the show in the 5-0 and 5-1 wins over the Gers.
But he was insipid against the duo of Scott Arfield and Ross McCrorie.
And Brown, who recently signed a new two-year deal with the Hoops, has taken responsivity for his role in the defeat.

“I’m happy to take the blame for the last Rangers game. If they want to hit me with that I’m big enough and ugly enough to deal with it” he revealed to the Daily Record.
“If it eases the pressure for the other lads, I’m willing to take it.”

Brown’s comments should delight all at Celtic Park. He has shown his selfless nature by willing to take the flak for the performance, if it eases the burden on his team-mates.

That is what good captaincy is all about. Brown has enough credit in the bank with the Hoops support to be allowed to have a bad game.
All at Celtic Park will be confident that Brown will be back to his swaggering best soon.
