Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli has taken to Twitter to share his delight with a potential new Hoops fan chant honouring him.

In the wake of Sunday’s 2-0 win, one Celtic supporter took to Twitter to re-purpose a gospel version of California Love by 2pac and Dr. Dre, posted originally by Kim Kardashian.

Instead of ‘glory, glory, hallelujah’, the fan suggested changing it to celebrate Bolingoli.

It wouldn’t be the first Celtic star song inspired by popular tunes of the past, with the most fashionable currently a version of I Wanna Be Adored by The Stone Roses that sets the soundtrack to Odsonne Edouard’s contribution in the Hoops.

Bolingoli clearly fancies hearing this potential new song in the stands going forward, taking to Twitter on Thursday to share his joy with the suggestion.

Although not verified, the Twitter account does appear to be the man himself, with Celtic previously tagging it in official tweets.

Bolingoli has been receiving a lot of love on social media this week in general with hundreds, if not thousands, of fans changing their Twitter names to include the player’s surname.

It’s a viral trend that has even reached the club’s official accounts, with the Celtic FC Shop caving in to fan demands and doing similar.

As did Celtic TV…

He must be absolutely delighted with the current support he is getting from fans, especially after an initial bit of worry about his performances.

His display at Ibrox was stellar and if he can continue in such a manner over the coming weeks and months, the 24-year-old won’t be getting any less popular with supporters.

Hopefully this recent burst of social media action, which he is clearly enjoying, gives the player a big confidence boost.
