Celtic have announced that they will hold a special event for captain Scott Brown, to mark the release of a new DVD about the club hero.

“An Evening With Broony” will take place at Glasgow’s Armadillo on Thursday November 21st with Paul Cuddihy as host, the club announced on Friday. Brown will chat about significant moments from his career, while bits of his new DVD will be shown and some “special guests” will join him on stage.

Brown event will give Celtic fans another great opportunity

Some of the proceeds from the event and DVD will go to two of the captain’s favoured charities – the Teenage Cancer Trust and Simpsons Special Care Babies. Tickets for the event will be priced at £15 and they will be available for fans to buy on a first come, first served basis.

It’s great to see our captain being honoured with another special event. There are so many remarkable moments from his Celtic career so far that this is certain to be an enthralling listen. In the press he often likes to keep his cards close to his chest and that’s why it will be so refreshing to hear him talk openly about past events.

Like James Forrest’s book last week, it is terrific to see the club paying homage to these players who have been around for so long. They have given so much to the club and it is only right that they are rewarded in return.
