Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is set to get the Open Goal treatment on Monday afternoon, it was announced by the popular YouTube channel today.
Open Goal has been a massive hit since uploads started a few years ago, culminating in a sold-out appearance at the Glasgow Hydro arena earlier this year.
Former Celtic youth players Si Ferry and Paul Slane are regularly joined by the likes of Kevin Kyle, taking an irreverent look at Scottish football, as well as interviewing some of the biggest names to have played on these shores.
Now the Australian Bhoys boss is set to be involved, apparently interviewed by Ferry and Slane at the club’s training centre at Lennoxtown.
Postecoglou was the recipient of the manager of the month award in the Scottish Premiership, which is sponsored by Glen’s vodka. This is all part of that association, so it might not even be the last time that the Celtic boss appears on the channel this season.
The Celtic manager has deftly handled the media since arriving in Scotland – both in terms of the traditional press and fan-led outlets such as 67 Hail Hail.

Notably frosty with those from mainstream organisations, Postecoglou has taken a much friendlier and in-depth tone with fan media.
From the looks of the image accompanying the announcement, this appearance on Open Goal is far more in line with the latter than the former, as you’d expected given the platform.
No doubt this will be a must-watch interview and one which makes Postecoglou even more popular with the support than he is now. Provided we win in the semi-final tomorrow, of course.
