Celtic release amazing statement that is sure to wind some rivals up

Celtic have published an amazing statement in a tweet tonight, making sure everyone knows the club are not one half of anything.

The short and sweet message really sums up how Celtic supporters are feeling after the club were dragged into an ongoing scandal surrounding Scottish football.

Following Rangers’ title win at the weekend, supporters of the Ibrox club congregated in breach of pandemic guidelines.

With damage to public property also occurring in Glasgow’s George Square, politicians and commentators have slammed those responsible.

As we discussed earlier First Minister Nicola Sturgeon drew Celtic into the equation at Holyrood today, suggesting talks would have to take place before the upcoming derby at Celtic Park could go ahead.

Fans have noted that the Celtic tweet appears to be in direct reference to a letter sent by Rangers official Douglas Park earlier today.

However, Celtic appear to have taken umbrage at being tagged with the problem.

In my opinion, the Tweet is outstanding patter and much more like the communication we want to see from the club in the coming months.

There’s nothing wrong with making a point and utilising a bit of humour at the same time.

No doubt this tweet is going to wind-up a few people who still insist there is an Old Firm.

Not in the club’s eyes, not in our eyes, not in many supporters’ eyes.

In other news, Jackie McNamara has been speaking to 67 Hail Hail about the weekend’s match at Tannadice.
