Greg Taylor and Alistair Johnston seem to have a pretty good relationship already, if a recent video released by the club is anything to go by.

To celebrate Burns Night, the club released a nine minute video of the pair at Lennoxtown attempting to come to terms with various Scottish slang words and phrases.

The likes of “hawd yer wheesht”, “did ye aye” and “away n bile yer heed” were all tackled as Johnston continues to adapt to life in Scotland.

The video features plenty of good banter between the full-backs, while Callum McGregor even makes an off-camera appearance at one stage.

Fellow Celtic stars David Turnbull and Anthony Ralston also get a bit of an affectionate slagging during the piece.

Former Motherwell man Turnbull is described as being “glaikit” by Taylor while the words “dafty” and “boggin” are used in relation to Ralston.

It’s a little snapshot into some of the chat that is likely to go on behind the scenes, but it’s all good natured and pretty funny.

In fact, after watching the video, it’s hard to have the impression that there’s anything but an extremely positive atmosphere currently at Lennoxtown.

The video does seem to show that Johnston is already a big figure at the club, and a well liked personality judging by Taylor’s input.

Having lost Josip Juranovic in the past few days, it’s important for new signings like Johnston to play their part both on and off the pitch.

The early signs are promising, in both regards.

In other news, Celtic may still have transfer business to do if recent history is anything to go by
