Celtic fan group The Green Brigade have been going to extraordinary efforts to show their appreciation and support for frontline NHS staff with donations in recent weeks.
As we know, the ongoing public health crisis has the potential to stretch the NHS to its limits and the staff involved will feel the full brunt of that.
Boosting their morale or helping in more practical ways is a fantastic way for people to spend their time during the ongoing shutdown and, as you’d expect, Celtic fans are rising to the occasion again.
In a series of tweets on the affiliated North Curve Celtic account, the group have been demonstrating some of the brilliant efforts they’ve gone to for NHS staff.

It’s clear that fans are going above and beyond.
The group have now sent out a way for other supporters to donate to their efforts with cash via PayPal are any foodstuffs or items they feel would be a benefit to under-pressure staff.
This is a challenging time for everyone but it’s through positive initiatives like this that we can all play a role, however small, in ensuring the health service knows they have our full support.
It warms the soul to know that through this crisis generosity and selflessness shines through to brighten people’s day.
That there are such efforts from Celtic fans, who follow a club so steeped in charitable history, is even better.
