Celtic’s Twitter account posted a Tweet on Wednesday that highlighted an aspect of Odsonne Edouard’s game that perhaps goes under the radar.
The Tweet featured statistics from Edouard’s performances in the league so far this season. It revealed that he has a pass accuracy percentage of 75%.
That is a remarkable statistic, and one that shows that he is much more than just a goalscorer. Of course, scoring goals is Edouard’s most important duty to his side.
Very accurate passer
However, the fact that he is so accurate in his passing abilities should not be overlooked. That accuracy is shown in the number of assists that Edouard has for the Hoops in the league.

The Frenchman has 12 assists in the Premiership, which is an excellent total. With goals and assists in double figures for the Hoops this season, you would imagine that Edouard will be a wanted man this summer, more than a few clubs will be interested in securing his services.

Hopefully the Hoops are able to persuade the player to stay for the chance to win more trophies with the club, and play in the Champions League.
Key man in bid for nine in a row
Edouard’s form this season is one of the reasons why the Hoops are so close to winning our ninth title in a row, and Celtic can go one step closer to the title with a win over Rangers on Sunday.

The game could be made for Edouard to score for the third time against the Ibrox side this season. He didn’t have the best of game against Rangers the last time the teams met this season, but still managed a goal.
If that is how he plays when having a poor game, the Ibrox side will need to beware when he does play well. He could almost win the game on his own.
