Now that Celtic have officially won the league we can start dreaming about opponents the club could face in the UEFA Champions League.

There has been a lot of talk of format changes to the tournament but it’s important to remember they don’t come in next season.

The Bhoys will be in the usual group of four, which is seeded into four pots of eight teams.

Celtic are very likely to be placed into pot four, which means a tough draw regardless, with every team we face set to have a better record in recent European competition than we do.

Pot 1 contains the Champions League and Europa League title holders, and the champions of the top six associations based on their 2021 UEFA country coefficients.

Pots 2, 3 and 4 contain the remaining teams, seeded based on their 2022 UEFA club coefficients.

A sizeable group of 19 teams have already qualified, including Celtic.

Clearly, many more teams are yet to qualify, but that gives you an idea of the calibre of competition we could face at this early stage.

It’s going to be very tough to even finish third in the group and drop into the UEFA Europa League.

However, we know Ange Postecoglou and the Bhoys are going to give it their all!

In other news, UEFA Champions League send Celtic tweet summing up Bhoys domination.
