Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been speaking about the team’s preparation for Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.

The Hoops are at Hampden again looking to win a third domestic trophy of the season.

We’re big favourites against Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but have been on the wrong end of some shocks against them over the years.

Asked about how his side will be gearing up for the occasion, Postecoglou told Celtic TV: “This week will be about just having a really good preparation.

“There’s always extra demands on everyone with cup finals. But we know it’s a great day and one you want to be a part of.

“We weren’t last year and, to be honest, I didn’t watch it because you want to be there.

“We want to be a part of the occasion then it’s up to us to perform.”

It’s probably no surprise to hear that Ange didn’t watch last year’s final between Rangers and Hearts.

He had just completed a brilliant debut season in Glasgow, winning two trophies in the process.

But he’ll have wanted to complete the set last year. We faltered in the semi-final and that hurt us all.

That could have been the case this season too, had we not got past Rangers at Hampden last month.

Just because we’ve won so much recently shouldn’t mean that we take any success for granted.

Ange and the players will be delighted to be part of this year’s showpiece after missing out 12 months ago.

If they can come out on top on Saturday it will really mean something.

In other news, the vast majority of Hampden will be backing Celtic for the game
