Karamoko Dembele, Joe Hart, and other Celtic stars have flocked to Cameron Carter-VIckers’ Instagram after a priceless win over Rangers at Ibrox.

CCV was the man who notched a superb first-half winner after we had initially found ourselves 1-0 behind before 3 minutes. Tom Rogic was the man who levelled the scoring minutes later.

The goal was only Carter-Vickers’ 4th of the season as he produced another top defensive display to keep Kemar Roofe silent. And it’s fair to say the Celtic players were queuing up to offer their congratulations to the big USA international:

Carter-Vickers was a part of a hugely-impressive Celtic backline at Ibrox today that battered away everything that came into the penalty area.

Stat experts Fotmob ranked him as the highest-rated player of everyone on the pitch with an 8.4/10 rating. CCV produced 9 clearances and 7b headed clearances as he showed his aerial prowess.

In addition to that, Fotmob clocked him as having won 8 out of his 10 individual duels. He also managed 3 successful recoveries and 3 interceptions. A fine afternoon’s work for the big American.

Cameron Carter-Vickers has proven to be a big-game player at Celtic Park

Carter-Vickers didn’t have anything to prove heading into this one today. We all knew that he was going to put in a fine performance. His qualities as an individual have never really been questioned throughout his time here, such is his consistency levels.

However, there’s always the chance that the atmosphere can rock you as a player. We haven’t played in such a hostile environments like today all season. It can do things to players unsusepctingly. Thankfully, all it did when it comes to CCV was ensure his game was raised.

For the second consecutive derby match, he headed back into the Celtic dressing room with Kemar Roofe tucked firmly in his pocket. There was no danger to Joe Hart’s goal from the moment Aaron Ramsey’s effort found the net. Outside of a Fashion Sakala effort, they never really came close.

That says so much about how dominant Carl Starfelt and CCV were in the box. Celtic batted away everything that came into the penalty area and then some. It was absolutely fantastic stuff and showed exactly why we’ve only conceded 19 goals in the league all season.

CCV in particular has proven to be a player that steps up on the big occasion. Today was one of those, and you can’t say he was anything other than absolutely sensational.

Whether Celtic can nab the Tottenham Hotspur loan star permanently next season remains to be seen. But there is certainly a clamour for it, and rightly so.
