Celtic fans concerned about the lack of transfer activity by the club so far will have had their worries eased by some recent comments by Hoops boss Neil Lennon.

The Celtic manager has disclosed that work is going on to bring new players into the club. He expects movement on the matter sooner rather than later.

“There is a huge amount of work going in at the minute, there has been for quite a significant period of time” the Hoops boss revealed in a video on Celtic’s YouTube channel.

“Huge amount of work”

“We’re hoping to get some positive results on that aspect pretty soon.”

Lennon’s comments should ease Celtic fans’ fears about the lack of activity so far. The club do seem to be working on getting deals done.

However, with the Champions League qualifiers less than three weeks away, time is running out for the Hoops to get deals done in time for that game.

Would be a boost to support

After missing out on David Turnbull, it would be a boost to the club’s support if some new signings were announced in the next week.

It would give the new players time to integrate with the squad on the pre-season tour of Austria. Hopefully by the time of the FK Sarajevo game, the Hoops will have new signings in the squad. If there isn’t, fans have the right to be concerned.
