Celtic interim manager Neil Lennon has made a surprising revelation. He has disclosed that he is yet to discuss his future with the club with the Celtic board.
Lennon is in charge of Celtic until the end of May, but he has admitted that he does not know if he will manage the club next season.
“They might have another person in mind, which is absolutely fine. I’m totally comfortable with it” he said, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“Maybe sit down”
“I’m here until May 31. We’ll maybe sit down after the Cup Final and discuss my position or what the future holds for me.”
Going by Lennon’s comments it seems that the Hoops board might not have decided who will manage the club next season.
That is a bit of a worry when the Champions League qualifiers begin in July. It is also unfortunate for Lennon that he is working at the club whilst unsure if he will be there next season.
Discussions will be ongoing
You would have to imagine that despite the uncertainty discussions are ongoing about who will be Celtic’s manager next season.
Perhaps all will be revealed in the aftermath of the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts. For now though, the speculation and uncertainty will go on.
It is time Celtic put an end to that speculation soon rather than later.
