Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain hasn’t kept quiet about Rangers’ celebrations following their 2-0 win in the last Glasgow derby of the season, and Hoops fans will fully back his comments.
Bain claims that it ‘speaks volumes’ that Rangers celebrated winning a game like they had won a trophy. He urged everyone involved in the game to have some perspective when it comes to the state of Scottish football.
“It speaks volumes”
“It speaks volumes for our team that that’s a team that used to celebrate winning trophies and now are celebrating winning matches against us” Bain said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“You’ve got a team celebrating winning a game against you like they’d won the league. It’s perspectives. We’d already won the league, and we’re going into the Scottish Cup Final.”
Fans will fully support comments
It is hard to disagree with a single word Bain has said, which is why fans will fully support these comments.
Players can celebrate victory in any way they want. But it is worth remembering that Celtic went to Ibrox already as champions.
Some of the Hoops’ most important players – James Forrest and Kieran Tierney for example – didn’t even play in the game.
If the game was really meaningful for the Hoops, they would have turned in a far better performance. Bain knows that. He also knows that Celtic won’t forget the celebrations after the game, and will be determined to put things right next season.
