Celtic’s Scott Brown waited almost 24 hours after the Hoops’ 5-0 win over Hearts to give his verdict on the victory on social media.
Brown took to Instagram on Thursday night to hail Celtic’s performance in the victory. The win was the Hoops’ eighth win in a row in all competitions.
“Great result yesterday and great performance from the lads” was the verdict from the Hoops captain on the win.
There is nothing much more that needs to be said by the Celtic skipper. The Hoops performed very well and increased their winning streak to eight games in all competitions.
There was a notable incident in the game involving Brown. He was caught by a dreadful challenge by Marcel Langer, who was deservedly sent-off.
Fortunate to avoid injury
He was fortunate to avoid injury. That is a good thing for the Hoops as he will be a key man for the upcoming Europa League tie against Copenhagen.
Of course, one of the biggest stories from the midweek fixtures was Rangers’ loss to Kilmarnock, which saw Celtic increase the lead at the top of the Premiership table to 10 points.
Didn’t mention rivals’ misfortune
It is interesting that Brown didn’t mention that in his review of the game. However, you wouldn’t expect anything less from the Hoops captain, who will only be focused on what Celtic do.
Brown will be next in action for the Hoops when they take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday, a game which won’t be easy, even though the team did win 4-0 there earlier this season.
Hopefully after the game Brown is lauding another excellent performance on social media, as Celtic’s bid to win nine in a row gathers even more momentum by the week.
