Celtic attacker Sead Haksabanovic seems to have a new off-the-pitch look judging by some social media activity.

The Montenegrin winger is known as a bit of a maverick. He has a tattoo on his arm which reads: “Get Rich or Die Trying.” (Scottish Sun)

But now it seems like he’s taken things a step further with the addition of ‘grillz’.

Simply put, they are: removable covers, made up of silver, gold, or metals encrusted with jewels, that snap over the wearer’s teeth. (Toothology)

Instagram user ‘Dr. AC’ – Advanced Dentistry at Hyndland Dental Clinic – posted an image on Wednesday evening showing Haksabanovic with the diamond covers in place.

The caption read: “Swapping the usual pearly whites for diamonds today for @seadhaksabanovic.

“Shout out to @heroluxury on this collaboration. Removable upper and lower diamond grills anyone?”

As you can probably tell, grillz aren’t really my thing and I’m more than a little out of my comfort zone with all of this stuff.

It seems like they will be an off-the-pitch endeavour for Haksa anyway. Surely?

Some Celtic fans on Twitter have already hyped up the move as a sign of Haksabanovic’s undoubted swagger.

Others aren’t quite as keen. Just search ‘Haksabanovic’ on Twitter and you’ll see the best of the chat. It’s all good natured.

Haksabanovic may be a bit of an outlier in the Celtic squad. You’d struggle to think of a single other player who would have gone down this route.

He’ll continue to be judged on the pitch.
