The official social media accounts of the J-League and the A-League have sent congratulations to Celtic, Ange Postecoglou and his players overnight following a stunning Scottish Premiership title win.

Postecoglou has won championships in the top flights of both Japan and Australia, blazing a trail into Europe and carrying the hopes of Asian Confederation football with him.

They were quick to show their support for this season’s project.

The English language J-League account said: “Congratulations to Celtic FC on another title! We have enjoyed watching Ange, Kyogo, Daizen, Reo, and Yosuke become a part of your club during such a special, successful campaign. Enjoy your celebrations!”

Meanwhile, the A-League said: “CHAMPIONS. Congratulations Ange Postecoglou & Tom Rogic. Confirmed title winners in Scotland. Incredible.”

They continued: “Celtic are back on top, guided by one of our very own. A brilliant day for the club, a seminal moment for Ange Postecoglou.”

Postecoglou is an incredibly popular character with football fans in both countries and there’s been a huge increase in the intrigue surrounding the Bhoys this season.

That’s only been added to with the addition of four J-League talents across the season, three of whom have played major roles in securing this success.

With Celtic visiting Australia later in the year and Postecoglou becoming the first Australian to ever coach a team in the Champions League, it’s going to increase too.

There are exciting times ahead and this is just the start!
