Wilfried Nancy is reportedly holding talks about taking over as manager of OGC Nice.
Five months on from being sacked after a disastrous spell at Celtic, the 49-year-old has been vocal about his intention to move into Ligue 1.
Nancy was named in the running for the Lorient job, but appears to have missed out on that post to Alexandre Dujeux after recent developments.
Instead, he is now in the running for Nice, a club in more than a spot of bother at the minute.

OGC Nice hold talks with Wilfried Nancy
According to L’Equipe, Nancy is a top target for Nice, who have just survived relegation by the skin of their teeth.
They finished third from bottom in Ligue 1, forcing them into a relegation play-off.

There, they met AS Saint-Etienne, winning 4-1 after a goalless first leg. Saint-Etienne have now hired ex-Hearts boss Ian Cathro as their new manager.
Strangely enough, Nice also made the final of the Coupe de France, losing to RC Lens, for whom Odsonne Edouard scored in the final.
Nice are in the process of being sold by Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS to a new group of British investors, potentially paving the way for Nancy’s appointment.
The ex-Columbus Crew boss recently said of Celtic on French radio show After Foot: “They contacted me for a very specific mandate, but sometimes, football is irrational. So it didn’t last long.
“The idea was to modernise the club and to bring something new. But then, they had a culture which is quite ingrained there.
“So that was an experience for me. I learned a lot about human beings and cultures. So there you have it, but it was a good experience for me.
“Now, the idea is to wait for the next project.”
