Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard has a big decision to make in the summer. He is currently on loan at Partick Thistle, and played a key role in their run to the Scottish Cup quarter-final.
Thistle might have lost 2-1 to Hearts in the cup on Tuesday night, but Hazard was a stand-out performer in the game, saving an Uche Ikpeazu penalty.
Used to first-team football
Hazard will now be used to playing first-team football. He has made 12 appearances for the Jags since January, and will eager for more regular football.
Hazard has yet to play a game for the Hoops. He will have a decision to make about his Hoops future very soon.
Unlikely to displace goalkeeper
It seems unlikely that Hazard will be displacing Scott Bain in the Hoops starting line-up anytime soon. Therefore, he needs to have a discussion with Celtic about his future.
Of course, whoever the next manager is at Celtic could have a bearing on Hazard’s future. But perhaps the best thing for the player is to have another loan move.
Hazard still has plenty of time on his side, if he wants to make it at Celtic. It should be remembered that he signed a four-year deal with the Hoops two years ago.
He still has the chance to make it with Celtic. But at the moment, he doesn’t look close to a first-team appearance. He has a big decision to make in the summer.
