As you can see, teenage sensation Karamoko Demeble made the bench after an excellent cameo in the 2-1 win over Hearts last week.
However, there is one player who shone in that game and has missed out on the squad. He can feel very unfortunate that he missed out. That player – Ewan Henderson.
Henderson was superb in the game. He linked up very well with Mikey Johnston for the game’s opening goal, and controlled the middle of the park for the Hoops.
It is intriguing that both Johnston and Dembele made the cup final squad after performing well against Hearts, but Henderson misses out.
The reason from Neil Lennon has to be because the middle of the park is the Hoops’ strongest area. Otherwise there seems no reason for the player not to be selected in the squad.
Showed what he is capable of
He showed what he is capable of only one week ago. Hopefully missing out on the squad doesn’t affect Henderson’s confidence too much.
He still has a bright future in the game, hopefully with Celtic.
He can use this as motivation for next season. You never know, it could turn out to be the making of the player.
