Undeniably one of the most pleasing aspects for Celtic in the early weeks of the season is the form that has been shown by Ryan Christie.

The Hoops attacking midfielder has already scored three goals, and was excellent in the recent 5-0 win over Nomme Kalju.

Should Christie start the second leg against Kalju, he is more than capable of adding to his goal tally for the season.

If Christie can keep up this run of form for the rest of the season, he could save the Hoops millions of pounds. There will be no need to dip into the transfer market to sign an attacking midfielder.

Attacking midfielder is not a position that is easy to sign players in. The ‘number 10’ role in particular is not easy to play in.

However, Christie is currently thriving in that role. He looks set to be a key man for Celtic not just for this season, but in the years to come as well.

That could earn the Hoops millions of pounds when the player eventually leaves the club. However, for now, Christie can save the club millions.

His form means that the Hoops can concentrate on trying to improve other areas of the team, and there is no need to sign any other attacking midfielders.

That is undeniably a bonus for the club as Celtic head into the beginning of the domestic season.
