One thing that Celtic must look to improve on next season, is the number of goals from midfield. When it comes to players in the middle of the park, only Ryan Christie has hit double figures, with 11 goals this season.

That is why Charlton’s Joe Aribo would be an  ideal addition to the Hoops squad. Goal recently reported that the Hoops were amongst a host of clubs interested in the player, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Aribo has scored 10 goals this season, which is a more than decent return for a central midfielder. He has been a key man in Charlton’s bid to get promotion to the Championship.

Future may depend on play-offs

Of course, Aribo’s future might well depend on how Charlton fare in the play-offs. Should his current side get promoted, he might be more inclined to sign a new deal.

If not though, Celtic should be at the top of the list to clubs to offer the player a contract.

It would mean beating the likes of Rangers and Arsenal to the punch. Aribo could make a difference to the Hoops first-team. The Hoops board should move to get the deal done as soon as possible.
