Since Celtic returned from the winter break, the team has been in excellent form, with seven wins in a row.
One player who has been key to the Hoops’ recent revival is midfielder Scott Brown. The Bhoys skipper has bounced back from his poor performance in the 1-0 defeat to Rangers in December.
Indeed, he even got on the score sheet with a great strike in the 5-0 win over St Johnstone. The winter break seems to have reinvigorated Brown.
The real test for the Hoops skipper is yet to come though, as Celtic get ready to face Valencia in the Europa League.
It’s all very well dominating against the likes of St Johnstone and St Mirren. Now Brown has to do the same against a La Liga side.
There’s no doubt Brown will back himself to have a good game. He has performed heroics for Celtic in Europe before, and on his day he is the most important player the Hoops have.
The game will be won in the middle of the park. Celtic will need the trio of Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie to be at their best if they are to get a positive result in the first leg of the tie.
Brendan Rodgers will have plenty of faith in Brown, now it is up to the player to repay that faith.
