After the latest development, Celtic supporters have had enough of Dedryck Boyata.
The Belgian centre-back hasn’t travelled with the squad to Lithuania. Subsequently, this leaves Celtic with just one fit defender after an injury to Jack Hendry forced him to stay in Glasgow.
However, it’s Boyata that supporters seem to have a real issue with.
The former Manchester City man has been in the bad books with fans ever since AEK Athens. The 26-year-old said he wasn’t fit for the second leg in Greece, despite Brendan Rodgers stating he was

This therefore led to much fan anger, with many no seeing a way back for the Ronny Deila signing.
Celtic ultimately crashed out in Athens, with two defensive mistakes costing them dear. Boyata could’ve been the man to help keep things tight at the back, but it wasn’t to be.

The centre-back is at it again by claiming he’s injured for the first-leg against Suduva. Boyata had clear-the-air talks with Rodgers and Scott Brown last week, and also took part in training during the week.
Supporters have come to their own conclusions that he now has to go before the end of the transfer window.

A win for Celtic would put them in pole position to qualify for the Europa League group stages.
The Hoops will need to find a solution to their defensive issues. Mikael Lustig is available and could slot in at centre-back. However, outside of that there are no viable options to replace both Boyata and Hendry.
Celtic also have Odsonne Edouard still missing for tonight’s contest. The big Frenchman has been a revelation since signing from PSG in the summer. However, he’s still struggling from the injury picked up during training in Athens.
