Celtic interim boss Neil Lennon has admitted that everyone at the club is looking forward to working with Maryan Shved.

The winger joined the Hoops in January, but is ending the season with his parent club Karpaty Lviv. In that time has been in great form for his team, scoring 14 goals this season.

Lennon has revealed that Shved is a player that has got the club ‘excited’.

“Exciting prospect”

“I think we are all excited about him coming into the building. He looks a very exciting prospect so hopefully get to see him soon” he disclosed to the Daily Record.

Shved certainly looks like he could add a new dimension to the Hoops play next season. Adding an out and out winger to the side is something that could be very promising attacking wise.

Of course, whilst Lennon has admitted that all at the club are looking forward to working with the player, there is no news as yet if Lennon will be the Hoops’ manager next season.

Shouldn’t hamper progress

That shouldn’t necessarily hamper Shved’s progress.

After all, when he signed for the club, Brendan Rodgers was still in charge of the club. All Lennon seems to be confirming is that Shved will be a big player for the Hoops going forward.

Whether Lennon is a part of that future, remains to be seen. But Shved does look to be a good signing for the Hoops.
