Read MoreReport: Celtic have watched Ligue 1 striker Serhou Guirassy; now scouted by Spurs
Celtic have had striker Serhou Guirassy watched in action for Amiens alongside a clutch of English Premier League sides, The Daily Mail reports.
The paper say that Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to have the player scouted, joining Celtic, Aston Villa and Leicester City in the hunt for the former French U20 international.
He’s previously played alongside former Celtic hero Moussa Dembele at that age level (Transfermarkt), but now 23 hasn’t made the transition into the senior French national team.
Guirassy has had a pretty storied career so far despite his young age, already playing in Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Bundesliga and the Europa League for a variety of different clubs.
Signing permanently for Amiens from Koln last summer after a loan, he’s scored 11 goals in the French top-flight, eight of which have come this season.
Celtic already priced out?
With a host of cash-rich Premier League sides now reportedly showing interest, The Daily Mail report that Amiens value the player at as much as £18m, obviously pricing us out of such a move.
Celtic have shown more ambition in the transfer market in recent years, bringing Odsonne Edouard and Christopher Jullien in for big money, but paying such a large fee seems pretty unlikely at our end right now even if we end up cashing in on the star striker.

Nonetheless, he may be a name worth keeping an eye on over the coming months in the event other interest dries up and his market value comes down a bit.
The way things are shaping up, we could well be in the market for forwards down the line.
