Celtic captain Scott Brown responds to rival's comment
Celtic skipper Scott Brown has responded to Rangers winger Sheyi Ojo regarding ability.
The new Rangers man believes his side are the best in the country.
However, the eight-in-a-row, treble treble winning captain believes differently. He thinks his side do the talking on the pitch ahead of another nail biting season.
Scott Brown backs his Celtic side’s quality
The Liverpool loanee has been in the country half an hour and he’s already foaming at the mouth.
The Rangers PR man has done it again with yet another player who doesn’t know any better.
Ojo believes Steven Gerrard’s men are the top dogs in the country despite the Hoops’ mammoth success.
Nevertheless, Brown knows the Scottish game too well and is familiar with what to say.
He told the Scottish Sun: “We do our talking on the park.
“I look at our squad and try not to worry about everyone else’s.
“It’s about who is in this dressing room and how we turn up.
“We will be pushed very hard again, but we have the players and a manager who has belief in us. There’s still a lot more to come from us.”
The Bhoys are on for matching the record nine league titles in a row – which is held by both Glasgow clubs.
How big a part will Scott Brown play?
Brown was close to playing in Australia to see out his twilight years. He believes he made the right move and the Celtic captain leads the charge for more glory.
It can’t be understated that every place is up for grabs in the midfield.
Callum McGregor is proving he can be the deep midfielder and take Brown’s mantle.
The 34-year-old isn’t getting any younger either and will maybe only manage a bit part role as his contract comes to an end next season.
Brown will know himself when it’s time to call it quits, but until then, the legend lives on.
