Video: Joe Hart and Ismaila Soro share heart-warming Celtic celebration embrace

A Celtic supporter captured a heart-warming moment between goalkeeper Joe Hart and midfielder Ismaila Soro as the title-winning celebrations were coming to a close at Parkhead.

The Hoops managed to bring the title back to Celtic Park at the first time of action after their 1-1 draw against Dundee United last midweek. However, the 6-0 hammering of Motherwell provided a more fitting end to the campaign with the trophy being lifted and the celebrations taking off.

And as things started to die down, there was a beautiful moment between Hart and Soro that was caught on camera by a Hoops fan:

There’s something about this one that just gets you. With the Fields of Athenry playing in the background and given Soro’s situation at Parkhead, it’s a class clip that only further highlights the positive atmosphere in the dressing room.

Soro hasn’t played in the league since October and has only featured for 3 minutes in 2022 alone. He looks certain to depart this summer after the club tried to get him a move back in January.

And given the efforts Ismaila put into last season’s failed 10-in-a-row pursuit, it’s nice to see him get the opportunity to take part in title-winning celebrations.

Joe Hart and Ismaila Soro share a fine moment during Celtic Park celebrations

Make no mistake, there were plenty of embraces yesterday and great moments between the players and supporters. But you have to say Soro’s attitude typifies exactly what Ange wants in his Celtic dressing room.

A player who has barely had a look-in whatsoever since the early stages of the season. Yet take a look at him yesterday and he gave off the impression of a player who was featuring week-in, week-out.

Clearly, he hasn’t been giving Ange any problems off the pitch. His attitude has been bigged up by the Celtic boss in the past [The Scotsman]. Goodness knows how much more difficult the title race could’ve been for us if we’d had figures of discontent within the place. People like Soro have played their part too.

But the reality is that when it comes to shifting the deadwood out of the club, Ismaila is one of the players included in that. If an acceptable offer comes in for his services, he’ll be off and the club will be happy to do a deal.

That’s probably one of the reasons that made yesterday so special for the Celtic support. That players like Soro got the opportunity to experience the highs of this football club.

And it’s clear given Hart’s embrace that he’s well thought of in the dressing room too.
