Matt O’Riley has lauded the man-management of Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou as he stated he’s yet to even explore the city despite already ripping Rangers apart.
O’Riley has been one of the unsung heroes from last night’s superb 3-0 win over Rangers at Parkhead. The result bolsters our title bid after we dethroned the Ibrox club from the top of the Premiership standings.
O’Riley was central to that after playing for 87 minutes of the feisty derby clash. His composure and quality on the ball was there for all to see as he put in plenty of graft against a Rangers midfield that has previously given us plenty of problems.

And as he settles into Parkhead, the former MK Dons man has touched on Postecoglou’s man-management and how he’s adapting to life in Scotland.
Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Matt said: “game to them, which we should be doing in front of our own fans. 60,000 fans behind you, you can’t not go after it.
“He’s great honestly [Postecoglou]. He doesn’t speak too much in terms of off the pitch and in the training ground. But when he does speak it’s very clear, very concise. He picks the right time to say certain things and I think he’s a top, top manager. And I’m sure everyone realises that now.
“Definitely [enjoying life in Scotland]. I haven’t had a chance to explore the city. I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far, it’s still early doors. I’m still trying to sort my place out for where I’m going to be staying permanently, but I’m enjoying it massively.”
Matt O’Riley making the right impression as Ange Postecoglou Celtic vision coming to fruition
When O’Riley first signed, there will have many wondering whether he was even a necessary addition. I should know because I was certainly one of them. But it’s funny how a few injuries and suspensions can change the perspective.
Would Celtic, for example, have won all games against Hearts, Dundee United, and Rangers without Matt available? Can we honestly say that we would’ve had the quality available to us in the engine room to see these sides off?
Chances are we wouldn’t have. Because, if we hadn’t signed O’Riley, then James McCarthy would’ve had to feature against Dundee United and Rangers. Nothing against James who actually produced a solid cameo last night, but he hasn’t shown anywhere near the quality needed from him.

It’s extremely impressive that O’Riley has been able to slot into our midfield and destroy Rangers before even having a chance to see Glasgow.
But even so, it sums up the start he’s had. He couldn’t have asked for a better fortnight after what he’s achieved over the last couple of weeks.
Hopefully he keeps it up this weekend when we face Motherwell at Fir Park.
