Celtic delivered at Pittodrie once again to make it 7 wins from 7 in 2022, and it appears that the Rangers supporters are getting desperate.
Indeed, plenty of them have been on social media complaining both throughout the game and after it that Aberdeen simply don’t try as much against the Hoops as they do against the Ibrox side. That Scott Brown doesn’t bother to do the hard yards when Ange Postecoglou’s side comes to town.

It appears that the goals being racked up by Ange’s Celtic side really is getting to them. They’re struggling to fathom how the league leaders can continue to rack up success after success whilst they stumble every second week.
Of course, the simplest explanation would just be that we’re currently a better team than what Rangers are. That we can face up to these challenges such as Pittodrie on a bitter winter’s night and get the job done. Not like our Ibrox foes who drew 1-1 there last month.
That’s what really irks Rangers supporters. The fact we’re getting 3 points in matches where they failed to do so. Celtic are top of the table, and they’re itching for excuses as to why that doesn’t involve us simply being better
Celtic leaving Rangers playing catch-up – showing no signs of crumbling
What will also be frustrating our rivals is that there are no signs of Celtic wilting under the pressure. In fact, they’re thriving in it. That’s 7 goals in our 2 games since we managed to overtake Rangers at the top of the tree.
You can see it’s getting to them. They know their club can’t keep up with us if we continue this level of form. Therefore, it’s easier to blame clubs for not trying as hard instead of actually admitting how good the Hoops are.
Going by their logic, Motherwell also lay down to us on Sunday I take it? In fact, Rangers did the exact same thing at Parkhead didn’t they? We were 3-0 up on them by half-time 8 days ago. Surely in their supporters’ rulebook, that means you’re lying down to us.
It’s embarrassing, tribalistic nonsense. Celtic overcame Aberdeen last night because they had the better players and the stronger willpower. Nobody can watch that game and say it wasn’t our hardest challenge of 2022 so far.
Even so, it’s evident many in the Ibrox fan club couldn’t bring themselves to admit just that. Here’s a look at some of their meltdowns both during and after the win at Pittodrie:
