Craig Levein is the latest to get on board the Ange Postecoglou hype train after today’s huge 3-1 win for Celtic at Livingston.
The Hoops produced one of their biggest performances of 2022 so far in West Lothian. Indeed, the comfortable 3 points again pushes us ahead of Rangers as we head into the final 8 league games.
The title is now within touching distance for the Hoops, granted, there are still some big challenges to come. Even so, just the fact we’re putting up the fight that we are shows incredible progress from last season.

And now even Levein, so often in major disagreements with the Celtic support, can’t hide his own admiration of the Hoops manager:
Speaking on BBC Sportsound today [BBC Radio Scotland, 06/03, 2:09pm], Levein said: “His interviews are backed up by what’s happening on the field. I think he speaks sense every time I hear him talking about his team and the performances.
“He doesn’t get carried away and he remains fairly calm. And these are good things for players. They need somebody in charge who is very sure about what they’re talking about. They want to be able to buy into it and he’s certainly managed to turn things around here at Celtic. Yes, I’ve been very impressed with him, very impressed.
“To be fair, I was always calm when we won 3-1 as well!”
Ange Postecoglou is winning over all of his doubters
It’s no surprise to see even those figures who tend to be anti-Celtic having to come out and praise Ange. In the interests of fairness alone, you have to give him the credit he’s due for the work done here.
Not many had this down as a Celtic win today, nevermind a comfortable one. Granted, perhaps that says more about previous performances here than it does today’s display. But even so, it was a major challenge with huge pressure on the players’ and manager’s shoulders.
Despite all of that, he’s come out absolutely flying with a major success. And in addition to that, he did it whilst watching his side return to something resembling their top form. You can’t not be excited after watching what we produced this afternoon.

You’ll do well to find a single soul who truthfully doesn’t believe that Ange has what it takes to be a success here. He’s done everything from rebuild the team to handling huge swathes of pressure to actually winning a trophy.
All that’s left for him to prove now is for him to go on and win the Premiership. Complete the job he was brought in to do and do it all within 1 year. It’s a ridiculous achievement if he pulls it off, but you just wouldn’t put it past him.
Celtic are in a great place, and it’s no wonder figures such as Levein can’t hide their own praise for him. It’s fully deserved.
In other news, “I spoke to the fourth official”; It’s clear the Livingston camp aren’t happy after big Celtic loss
