Celtic today went 3 points clear at the top of the Premiership once again, and it’s left Rangers fans absolutely fuming as you would expect.
As we know, there was a bit of dubiety in the build-up to our first and second goals today. As soon as you saw that, you just knew our rivals had their excuses ready.

Forget the fact that Celtic dominated the game. Forget the fact that we had 24 shots to Livingston’s 6 [BBC]. Nah, let’s just blame the referee and his officials as it’s a lot easier than just admitting we were the better team. At least that’s what our rivals are thinking.
We knew there would be a massive spotlight on these decisions as soon as we netted. However, what’s being lost in the discussion is the fact that there was so much work to do for both goals after those decisions. It’s as if Nick Walsh gave us 3 penalties that never were.
We had a corner that should never have been. Granted. But let’s not forget that we still had to produce a pinpoint delivery and score from it. Let’s not forget the fact that it was Nicky Devlin who bundled into his own net for goal number 2. Entirely avoidable from a Livingston perspective.
Rangers supporters losing the plot as Celtic show more and more title mettle
It’s funny how silent the Rangers support goes when there’s a bit of dubiety that goes in their favour. You don’t hear from them again. That’s them back in their tunnels until a decision goes against them.
We can admit that these decisions went in our favour today. That they shouldn’t have in reality. That’s the difference. They won’t admit or even acknowledge decisions that go in their favour, and today’s outcry is a perfect example of how extreme they go when it’s the other way around.
What’s really irking at our rivals however is the fact that we’re motoring towards the title. Rangers are showing signs of further vulnerability whilst Celtic continue to eke out win after win. They hoped that today was going to be a day of dropped points for us. That things haven’t panned out that way has left them absolutely infuriated.
But hey ho let’s just blame the referees, and whilst we’re at it, the SFA too. That makes it easier for our rivals to accept that we’re outperforming and outclassing them this season.
Take a look at the absolute nonsense that’s been on social media after our big win this afternoon. It honestly beggars belief:
