As Celtic celebrated their big win at the Tony Macaroni Arena yesterday, it’s fair to say that Ange Postecoglou and his men took part in some class post-match gestures.

Yesterday felt big. Not just for the title race but for the manager and the supporters’ trust in him. The adulation was cranked up another notch after he managed to do what Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon failed to do by winning in West Lothian.

And in some class post-match footage posted on social media by supporters, you can watch some brilliant gestures by the likes of Joe Hart, Anthony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and the manager respectively:

The Celtic support and the players have certainly had an increased relationship with each other under Ange. The club hasn’t felt like this much of a family in a long time. That has to go down to the manager and what he’s instilled inside the dressing room.

This is a regular occurrence in Celtic’s post-match celebrations too. It’s not even just a case of doing some dances and celebrating in front of supporters now. Celtic players have been giving individual fans moments to remember.

Callum McGregor, for example, gave his jersey to a supporter against Bodo/Glimt. Hart, meanwhile, stepped in to give a young pitch invader a photo after last week’s win over St Mirren. Now we have what took place yesterday – Celtic really turning into one big family on and off the park.

Celtic players consistently showing their love and care for the supporters

These are just great scenes for supporters to witness. It shows exactly the level of love the players have for their supporters. That’s essential when it comes to creating a connection between everyone at the club.

Not since the invincible season have we felt such a close bond with a group of players. You might even say that that connection is stronger with Ange’s team given post-match moments such as the ones above.

Of course, it helps with the winning run Celtic are currently on. We haven’t been beaten domestically since September and continue to run amok when it comes to the Scottish Premiership. We’ve now won 12 of our last 13 league games, and the truth is that it’s simply title-winning form regardless of how you look at it.

All of this has made the supporters really warm towards Ange’s team. It’s a side that exhibits all of the virtues and traits we want to see in not just Celtic players, but Celtic men.

Of course there’s still a long way to go. We still have 8 Premiership games remaining and our lead at the top remains a slender 3-point one. There remains plenty of work to do.

However, it’s clear that the fans are with the players all the way. How can you not be with scenes such as yesterday?
