Bundesliga talent Ajdin Hrustic has hailed Tom Rogic after his Celtic career came to an end.
Hrustic has played alongside the former Hoops hero in the Australian national team. Both look set to feature for Australia in their huge World Cup playoff clash against United Arab Emirates next month.
Rogic decided to call time on his time at Celtic after over 9 years in Glasgow and an incredible 17 trophy wins. His status at Parkhead will forever be an iconic one, having wowed the Hoops support over the years with his talent.

And Hrustic, who’s Eintracht Frankfurt side face Rangers in the Europa League final tomorrow, has taken time to laud Rogic for his Parkhead success.
As quoted by the Glasgow TImes, he said: “I’m in contact with Tommy. I’ll see him after the Europa League Final when we meet in Qatar with the national team.
“I’ve heard he’s leaving Celtic and I wish him all the best. He’s a great person and a great player. I think he’s deserved a new challenge in his career. He’s been at Celtic for something like ten years so he’s given everything for the club and I’m happy for him.”
Tom Rogic’s Celtic career forever remembered
There were plenty of signings during Neil Lennon’s first spell at the club that have now well been forgotten about. More than a few in fact. The signing of Tom Rogic most certainly wasn’t one of them.
Indeed, he’s a player whose reputation and achievements at Parkhead will be spoken about through generations. He flourished as a key figure in an era of domestic dominance for Celtic that was unprecedented. It won’t be until next season that we fully appreciate how big a player he was for this football club now that he’s gone.
Of course, not that it was the wrong decision by any stretch. Tom clearly wanted to leave Celtic Park on a high and as a winner. That’s always an absolutely essential step in securing your legacy. Massive credit to him for making that decision and sticking with it.

It’s clear Rogic is also well thought of in the Australian national team too. Hrustic, a regular for Australia these days, talks him up well and shows a classy touch here.
Rogic has already stated that he’ll unlikely move back to the A-League. Therefore, it’ll be extremely interesting to see where he does decide to move to next. Does a move at one of Europe’s top leagues beckon for him? It would be fascinating to see Tom’s style of play in one of the famous top 5 divisions.
But for now, it’s a total mystery as to where he’ll end up next. All we know is that his Celtic career will always be remembered fondly.
