Celtic have today announced that season ticket holders will have streaming access to Sunday’s Scottish Women’s Cup final against Glasgow City for no additional cost.
Indeed, supporters can view the match on the Pass to Paradise streaming service from 3:50pm when coverage from Tynecastle will begin. Kick-off for the clash is at 4:10pm with Celtic looking to end the season on a high note by winning the cup for the first time.
The game will also be free to watch for overseas Celtic TV subscribers, whilst non-season ticket holders in the UK can watch the match on BBC Alba with coverage starting at 4pm, albeit with Gaelic commentary.
Fran Alonso has already been speaking about potentially becoming the first manager in the club’s history to win the competition too. In comments published by the Glasgow Times, he said: “We won our first trophy in 11 years and we have the opportunity of winning our first-ever Scottish Cup final. That would mean in one season we could double the trophies that we have in our whole history. That speaks for itself.
“The girls know that they can put their names in the history books and we really want to do that – and please our fans, of course. I think [a different cup winner] is great for the league. I think that’s why the men’s English Premier League is so exciting, in the last 10 years there have been so many teams that have won it. I think that is positive for the competition and it’s the same for the Scottish Cup.”
Tickets for the clash are also still available for those who wish to head along to Tynecastle and support the Ghirls. Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults with under-13s getting in for free.
Celtic Women looking to round off the campaign with 2 trophy wins
Alonso’s side head into the cup final having already won the SWPL Cup back in December. That victory also came against Glasgow City with a 1-0 win secured by a Caitlyn Hayes header. The success ended 11 years without a trophy for the women’s team.
Granted, the Scottish Women’s Premier League campaign certainly wasn’t a success. Celtic finished 3rd in the table and a whopping 17 points behind winners Rangers and 10 behind Glasgow City.
Sunday provides Celtic with a glorious chance to remind their foes exactly what they’re capable of. Overcoming Glasgow City in a second consecutive cup final will be a real statement heading into the off-season.

Celtic lost their last 2 league meetings with City in disappointing fashion. However, Jacynta has come out roaring ahead of the weekend as she believes Alonso’s side were “very unlucky” and that “we outplayed them” [Celtic TV].
This weekend will give the Hoops a chance to right some wrongs in the league campaign undoubtedly. And to bag 2 successive trophies after an 11-year drought would have to go down as a successful season.
All the best to the Ghirls ahead of what will no doubt be an intense encounter.
