Celtic star Christopher Jullien has provided supporters with a key Instagram update that provides us with a stark reminder of the human aspect of Covid.
Jullien has been self-isolating ever since testing positive for Covid last week. The resulting fallout from that has led to Celtic missing 13 other first-team players.
The Hoops would go on to draw matches against Hibernian and Livingston respectively in two games at Parkhead. This has, predictably, led to yet more outrage being dished out to the club for going to the UAE in the first place.
However, not much focus has actually gone on how former Toulouse man Jullien is actually feeling. Thankfully, his promising Instagram update last night has informed us that things are going well:

Celtic man’s Instagram post is promising news
Make no mistake, we’ve missed Jullien over the last couple of games. However, more importantly than that, it’s just great to see him on the mend again.
It probably says a lot about how overly-serious we all take football in his country. The fact that Jullien’s health has seldom been spoken about doesn’t reflect well on the nation’s obsession with the national game.
But even so, the Celtic fans have generally been wishing him well on social media. And it’s great to see that Jullien doesn’t appear to be suffering to any great degree.

Jullien is still sidelined after being confirmed to be out for several months towards the end of 2020 with a knee injury. This came after a collision with the post during a win against Dundee United. It remains to be seen whether he’s back for the title run-in (if we even have one!).
But his Insta post here is a key reminder that there’s a human element to Covid. Health and safety must always be considered the main priority, and Jullien’s class update here is terrific to see!
In other news, Celtic made a massive blunder over their January review; leaves them now with no option.
