Celtic FC Women manager Fran Alonso has taken to Twitter to send a class message to supporters tonight.

As we discussed earlier, his team have qualified for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time. They enter the first round of the competition.

Alonso said: “What an achievement! Absolutely delighted and proud of this amazing team. This is Celtic, a Club born from adversity and fought it for over 130 years. Celts enjoy the evening because you are the key part of this journey! Come on! UWCL here we come, Hail Hail!”

No doubt that will hit the spot with supporters who have already taken to his charismatic managing style.

Alonso and his jacket have been brilliant success stories at the club this season.
