Celtic season ticket holders and U16s will get the opportunity to watch one of Celtic FC Women’s biggest games of the year for free at Celtic Park next month, the club announced today.
Fran Alonso’s team will take on Glasgow City in a defining title race clash on Thursday, May 11th at Paradise, with kick-off at 7:30 pm.
Full ticket details have yet to be released but the club have confirmed that current season ticket holders at Celtic Park will have access to free briefs, with a small booking fee required. It is clearly hoped a big crowd turns out for what is a massive fixture.

Alonso said [Celtic FC]: “To be able to play at Celtic Park again is an amazing opportunity, especially as we come up against the current league leaders in our push for the title. I would love if as many fans as possible could come along and support the Ghirls in what could be a defining game in our season, and hopefully it’ll be a day we never forget.”
Celtic currently sit two points behind league leaders City with just six games remaining. A win in this one could go a long way towards the Ghirls securing their first-ever league title. Rangers are also in the hunt, one point behind Celtic in third place.
Celtic’s final SWPL 1 run-in starts tomorrow against Hibernian, with matches against Rangers and Partick Thistle to follow before hosting City at Celtic Park.
City have struggled against Alonso’s outfit in recent weeks, losing 1-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and being handily beaten 4-2 by the Ghirls on home ground. City are traditionally the dominant team in Scottish women’s football, but Celtic are looking to let everyone know that Glasgow is green and white across the board.
The final two matches of the season will be against Hibernian and Hearts. By that point, Celtic could be in pole position to secure a famous trophy triumph.
Supporters now have the chance to show serious support for the Ghirls efforts and you can’t say fairer than free admittance!
