Celtic FC Women are through to the SWPL Cup Final after making a comeback against Hibernian in today’s semi-final.
In the second of two matches on Sunday at the same venue, Celtic and Hibs went toe to toe for a spot in December’s final against Glasgow City.
Hibs, the trophy holders, took the lead in the first half through Scotland international Rachael Boyle which held until half-time.
After the interval, Celtic came out with great purpose. As we’ve seen so many times from this Fran Alonso outfit, there was determination and spirit about the way the team were getting forward.
Jacynta scored within seconds of the restart, setting the tone for the rest of the match.
Then, 11 minutes from time, Charlie Wellings made up for multiple missed chances against Rangers last week with a stunning winner that crashed in off the crossbar.

Glasgow City will provide stern opposition in the final at Firhill, but silverware would be great reward for the progress of Alonso’s squad over the last 12 months.
After a second-placed league finish and Champions League football, the next natural step is a trophy.
The final will take place on Sunday 5th December.
Good luck Ghirls!
