Feeling a bit lost without Celtic games on until the 17th? Don’t worry, the club have you covered, with Tommy McIntyre’s B Team in action this Sunday.

As part of the club’s season ticket offering, some B Team games are being broadcast throughout 21-22. This Sunday, at the Penny Cars Stadium, the Hoops take on Caledonian Braves in the SLFL, and it’s available through the Pass to Paradise platform [Celtic FC].

Interestingly, the club are encouraging supporters to log-in to their Pass to Paradise tomorrow between noon and 2pm.

The Celtic B Team have been incredibly entertaining in the SLFL this season. In the last game against the Caledonian Braves, Celtic B prevailed 3-2 on a dramatic night of football [CB YouTube]. Goals from Ben Wylie, Joey Dawson and Tsoanelo Letsosa secured three points, while B Team goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi pulled off some great saves.

Celtic B currently sit 5th in the SLFL table, but have two games in hand on 4th place East Kilbride, who are equal with the Bhoys on 48 points. Somewhat startlingly, the B Team have the best defence in the entire league, despite being constituted of young players, some playing their first competitive minutes.

McIntyre’s side have conceded just 16 goals, 3 fewer than league leaders Bonnyrigg Rose.

Great opportunity for Celtic fans to get behind the B Team during winter break

The winter break was necessary, but we’re nearly at 2 weeks without watching the Celtic first-team. They don’t play until the 17th, when Hibs come to Celtic Park.

So to have the B Team to rely upon is a real boost. McIntyre’s side is full of excellent young talents, and the standard is surprisingly high. Rocco Vata, Ben Wylie, Owen Moffat, Adam Brooks, Tsoanelo Letsosa et al have been excellent viewing this season.

Many Celtic fans might’ve wanted to remove the phrase ‘Pass to Paradise’ from their memory after the 20-21 season. But it’s still going, and it’s bound to have more in store for Season Ticket holders throughout 21-22.

The club have already broadcast free Celtic FC Women games on the platform this season.

Increasingly, B Team stars are being noticed in the first-team. Joey Dawson featured against St Johnstone, and nearly scored in a 3-1 win. Owen Moffat, of course, was brought on against both St Mirren in the league, and Hibernian in the Premier Sports Final.

So, B Team matches are the best place to see potential stars of Celtic’s future.

With Celtic B still very much in the hunt for first place in the SLFL, and games to make up on the four teams above them, including Rangers’ B Team, there’s plenty of drama and excitement to be had on the Pass to Paradise this weekend.
