Celtic B were on fine form in the Scottish Lowland Football League today, beating Dalbeattie Star 4-2 away from home.

The highlight of the afternoon was a stunning Owen Moffat strike from outside the box which was pinged into the top corner off of the woodwork.

Elsewhere Karamoko Dembele continued his return from serious injury with an influential display that included setting up Celtic’s first goal of the afternoon through Johnny Kenny.

Adam Brooks was the hero of the second half, scoring a double to make it a comfortable end to the game for Tommy McIntyre’s team.

Brooks’ goals actually ended up being crucial with the home side pulling it back to 4-2 from a four-goal deficit.

The win keeps the young Hoops in the hunt for a second-place position in the league table, with Bonnyrigg Rose already securing the title win.

Given Rangers B are also fighting it out for that runners-up position, Celtic will be desperate to keep winning and edge out our rivals.

Celtic play Civil Service Strollers at home next week before a massive derby against Rangers on Tuesday 12th April under the lights at Paradise.

Tickets are on sale in the North Stand for that one, so don’t miss out if you are keen! It should go a long way towards determining who finishes ahead of the other in the league table.

In other news, Brendan Rodgers said something very true about Celtic yesterday that everyone else is ignoring.
