Joey Dawson bagged himself a double and also notched up an assist as Celtic B ran riot away from home to Vale Of Leithen in the Scottish Lowland Football League this afternoon.
His efforts started the team on the road to a massive 10-0 victory and three more points.
Dawson was highly rated at Scunthorpe, scoring regularly for their youth sides. The teenager was chased by other clubs, including Derby County, prior to his switch to the Bhoys this summer.

Tommy McIntyre’s side have now won five matches on the spin between league and cup action. They’re really finding their feet in a busy schedule, with youngsters such as Bosun Lawal and Owen Moffat continuing to impress.
Dawson kicked off the scoring. His striking instincts in the six-yard box had the young Bhoys 1-0 up within 12 minutes. Dawson then doubled his tally shortly after, poaching another effort from close range.
The former Scunthorpe prospect then turned provider, feeding Mackenzie Carse who made no mistake to make it 3-0.
Defender and captain Lawal then got in on the act, finishing from inside the box after a clever corner routine from the Bhoys.
Never one to be left out, the ever-impressive Moffat also bagged himself a hat-trick stretching Celtic B’s lead to 7-0.
Son of Rudi, Rocco Vata, then made it eight before Moffat rounded off the scoring with his fourth and fifth of the afternoon to make it 10-0.
The football continues thick and fast for the young squad after this magnificent performance.
Next up is a visit to Christie Gillies Park in Edinburgh on Tuesday night to face Civil Service Strollers. The Strollers have started well this season so it’ll be a stiff test, but one I’m sure McIntyre’s side will be up for, especially after today.
