Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers must be tearing his hair out after the latest injury problem to affect the Bhoys.

The Irishman confirmed that right-back Anthony Ralston is set to be out for weeks with a ligament injury.

With the recent poor form of Mikael Lustig, Ralston would have been hoping for a run in the team.

However, with the latest injury news, Lustig seems certain to return to the first-team.

That should not prevent the Hoops boss from trying to find a new right-back though, as it is an area of the pitch Celtic need to improve in.

Even Lustig himself has admitted recently that Celtic need to ‘fix‘ the right-back area of the side.

There have been reports that Celtic are willing to spend big on a right-back.

The likes of Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne and Olympiacos right-back Omar Elabdellaoui have been linked with the Hoops.

They would cost big money though, and it remains to be seen if Celtic are willing to push the boat out for a right-back.

It would certainly give a huge boost to the fans if chief executive Peter Lawwell sanctioned such a move.

As the transfer window enters it’s final week, we shall find out soon enough.
