Read MoreRangers fans somehow rattled as 2 Celtic players make SPFL Premiership Team of the Season
The Rangers support have, for some reason, been absolutely rattled by the fact that two Celtic players made the SPFL Premiership Team of the Season this year.
Yes, it was a calamitous campaign for the Hoops. We deserve absolutely nothing collectively for what we put into the season. Plenty of individual players have come in for stick, whilst the club is currently in crisis ahead of the new season.
However, that didn’t stop top scorer Odsonne Edouard and breakthrough talent David Turnbull from making the cut today. Both men were given a spot in the team alongside six Rangers players. Hibs’ Martin Boyle and Josh Doig are also in there, with St Johnstone centre-back Jason Kerr given a place too.
Of course, that was never going to satisfy our rivals, was it? Nope. The Team of the Season was never going to be accepted unless it was 11 Rangers players. Anything else is sheer disgusting and pro-Celtic bias.
Forget the fact that Edouard is Scottish football’s top scorer. Forget the fact that Turnbull overcame a horror injury only to make himself a key cog for Scotland at Euro 2020. That doesn’t matter because Glen Kamara is the next Iniesta.
Rangers fans need to calm down; both Celtic players there on merit
Why would you even let something like this bother you? Given the season they’ve just had, it shows the pettiness that still exists within them that this appears to outrage them. You can’t have a dominant team of the season. It’s important other club’s players are recognised.
As a matter of fact, Celtic’s invincible treble season saw us have only five players selected. I must’ve missed all of the Rangers fans going nuts at that too. Not to mention the fact we accumulated more points than them whilst winning all domestic competitions.

It shows how much Celtic live in their heads rent-free. Even when we’ve just had our worst season arguably since the 90s, they still can’t accept even a modicum of praise for anything green and white.
In all seriousness, credit to Turnbull and Edouard. The former has been an inspiration this season given the horrific road he had to battle through to come here. As for Edouard, we know he could’ve produced more, but he still finished the nation’s top scorer with 22 goals. Just because he hasn’t reached his own maximum potential doesn’t mean he wasn’t better than the rest.
Not that that’s satisfied our rivals of course. Check out the roaring and moaning below:
Reminder. Rangers didn’t lose a single game. 😂😂😂 Embarrassing. Expected. https://t.co/DhxixjeEH8

I get you want to share it around a bit, but Turnbull over Kamara is just laughable. A bloke who delivers a good corner, but otherwise runs about a lot giving the ball away, against a player who controls the tempo of a game, rarely wastes a ball and can provide the killer pass?

Are you flipping kidding me ????? How the hell glen Kamara is not there !!!! This is utterly disgraceful!

Kamara has been much better than turnbull but we know you have to give “them” something.

Clutching at straws to somehow get Celtic players into the team or what!! Eddy scored penalties and Turnbull had a handful of good games!!
