Mohamed Elyounoussi and Shane Duffy are injury doubts for the Celtic trip to Ross County on Sunday evening, Neil Lennon has shared.

Celtic take on the Staggies in an unusual Sunday night kick-off in the Highlands.

The Bhoys plan to travel to Dingwall on Saturday, but two players may not be amongst the numbers.

Asked on the status of the squad today, Lennon told a press conference [YouTube]: “Elyounoussi picked up a knock today in training, so we’ll see how he is tomorrow.

“Shane’s got a bit of an Achilles problem, so again, he’ll be assessed tomorrow.”

Neither Duffy nor Elyounoussi started on Wednesday night against Aberdeen, so Lennon won’t be too panicked when it comes to selecting his starting eleven.

However, it does impact squad depth, especially with Chris Jullien and James Forrest out long-term.

Lennon will be hoping both players are back to full fitness before long. It doesn’t sound like they are seriously hurt.

A similar lineup to the Dons clash is likely, with Stephen Welsh trusted in the defensive line and attacking midfielders supporting a striker partnership up front.

Might we also see an extended opportunity for Mikey Johnston off the bench instead of Elyounoussi too?

In other news, Michael Stewart has called on Celtic to release a statement.
